Seawall Church on Galveston Island is a local church that believes in you! We believe that God can use you to do something special and help change the world. Your life matters and our mission is to help you find your purpose in life.
Our Pastors
We are so excited that you are interested in the journey that Seawall Church is embarking upon. My name is Joshua Rudolph, my wife, Catherine and I pastor Seawall Church. We have both been in full time ministry for over 18 years and have had the incredible opportunity to work with and for Pastors Walter and Cindy Hallam. This church is the reality of Abundant Life’s vision of multiple campuses reaching generations with the message of Jesus Christ. Abundant Life has been in the community for over 35 years, and this extension is a continuation of the work that’s just beginning. Come and introduce yourself the next time you are at Seawall Church so I can begin to get to know you and your family.
OUR BELIEFS
+ JESUS IS OUR FOCUS
We are forever about Jesus. He is the reason we do all that we do. Our purpose is to share the hope of Jesus Christ. We are not religious people, we are Jesus people.
+ PEOPLE ARE OUR PASSION
We believe in people! We know that every person has a God-given destiny and our mission is to help them find and live out that destiny. We desire to bring in the lost at any cost, and know that their lives can be changed by a relationship with the savior.
+ GENEROSITY IS OUR DNA
Generosity is about giving more than is required. This is in our time, our talents, and our treasure. God is a generous God, and in turn we can be generous back to him. In all the ways we are richly blessed, it is our honor to give back.
+ EXCELLENCE IS OUR STARTING PLACE
We believe in giving everything we do our best effort. We are In N Out not Cheesecake Factory. Nothing against the Cheesecake Factory, but In n Out does 3 things, burgers, fries, and shakes and they do them extremely well. We won't do everything, but the things we do will be done extremely well.
+ HONOR IS OUR CULTURE
We choose honor every day and in every way. We understand that we are placed under authority and we choose to honor those that God has placed over us. We are vocal with our honor both going up and coming down. We submit to leadership and are thankful for spiritual authority.
+ SERVING IS WHAT WE DO
If you're too big to serve then you are too small to lead. We believe the greatest leadership is service to others. Every leader is a servant first. From the parking lot to the pulpit, everyone serves. Every role is different but they are all important.
+ PASSION IS OUR BATTLE CRY
We believe that everything we do should be done with passion. From our worship to our service, we are passionate about what God is doing in our lives. We have passion for Jesus, passion for his church, and passion for his people, it is what drives us.
+ WE WANT TO BE KNOWN FOR WHAT WE ARE FOR
Our goal as a church is to be known for what we support, not for what we disagree with. We believe that there is enough negativity in the world, and church should be the place you come to be encouraged. We pride ourselves on promoting unity.
